Development Report and Future Planning

Currently, almost all the story content for the new version has been added to the game—new quests, interactive locations, items, renders, etc.

Now, I’ll start working on the most complex part of the code: updating the battle system to allow item drops for quests and selling, adding new enemies, and implementing new abilities for the new team members.

I’ll also update the gallery with the new renders.

There’s no confirmed release date yet. If everything goes according to plan, it should be out by April 5th. However, there might be delays due to potential issues with the new messaging system being implemented, so postponements are quite likely.

I’m also testing a way to add in-game animations. Due to major hardware limitations, it’s not feasible to do what I originally planned, but expect at least two animations in this update.

I’ve been working on a way to allow old save files to be compatible with the new version. So far, it’s working well in testing, but I don’t expect it to be 100% flawless in this release.

Plans for Version 0.3? Yes, Already!

With all the creative planning for Version 0.2 complete, it’s time to plan the next update. I’d like you to decide what you prefer:

  • Option 1: Continue the current approach, where almost all characters get quests in every update, but with less individual story progression for each.
  • Option 2: Focus on one or two characters per update, giving them significantly more content at the cost of others being sidelined temporarily.
